Meet the Doctors

  • Dr.
    J. Tate Medlock
    Chiropractic Physician

Dr. Tate grew up in rural downstate Indiana. Like Dr. Karin, he is a third-generation physician and recalls wanting to follow in his family's footsteps from a very young age. He pursued his undergraduate studies at Indiana University Bloomington enrolling in a rigorous pre-medical curriculum while majoring in biology with a minor in chemistry. It was during his time at IU he developed a true passion for health and wellness, which steered him in the direction of a career in Chiropractic Medicine. He went on to receive his doctorate from National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Illinois.

Dr. Tate believes in taking a holistic approach to healing both internal and external conditions, allowing his patients to find their own personal balance with his direction. He has completed post-graduate studies with a focus on functional rehabilitation including techniques such as corrective exercise, nutrition, taping/strapping, acupuncture and soft tissue instrumentation. He has obtained certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA.

After practicing for 7 years, he has returned to Bloomington, Indiana to be closer to his family. He joined the team at Drummond Chiropractic because their philosophy and style of care was the perfect match for his.

  • Dr.
    Karin Drummond
    Chiropractic Physician

Karin Drummond, DC, lives in Bloomington, Indiana. She graduated with distinction from the University of Victoria with a bachelor of science degree. She finished the four-year doctorate of chiropractic degree at the University of Western States in 2000. She moved to her husband’s hometown of Bloomington, Indiana, and has practiced there ever since. She now calls it home, living at its edge in the country with her husband and two children. She has been voted her town’s number one chiropractor seven times as of 2016.

Passionate about living well, she keeps up with new research in the health field and practices what she preaches. Her patients have told her for years that she needed to write a book because she is such a great source of information on healthy living. Once she discovered how easy it was to publish a book, she decided to take advantage of this medium to help spread her thoughts on living well. Her first book, Top Seven Ways to Combat the Effects of Sitting, was published in 2015 and was a finalist in the 2016 Best Book Awards in the Health: Diet and Exercise category. She has published several books since then, and she is planning on publishing many more books on a variety of topics.

  • Dr.
    Kay Minniear
    Chiropractic Physician

Dr. Kay started her journey in Chiropractic in 2011. Perhaps like you, she had never heard of chiropractic let alone been to a chiropractor in her youth. She had heard a number of stories from friends and family about the great results it had for their back and neck pain. Shortly before graduation from Indiana University Dr. Kay came across Chiropractic in an alternative health class and had to learn more. Ultimately she and her husband Cory traveled 600 miles from their home in Huntington, Indiana to do so at Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, South Carolina, by pursuing a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. It didn’t take long for her to become passionate about Chiropractic and to understand that there is so much more to it than just back and neck pain. As a student intern in the on-campus health center, she loved to see patients and help them to understand that Chiropractic could mean true, ultimate health for them and their families. She continues to educate people about the hidden treasure that is Chiropractic care and to provide it to her community.
